The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, and the hotel itself is nice. But our trip to turtle Beach that Ben arranged was a terrible experience. The guide barely spoke to us, gave us no food, and we had to sleep in an abandoned house, while everyone else got decent accommodation. Ben also suggested other tours that seemed overpriced. The hostel is close to a mosque with loud speakers. The calls can be heard day and night, even around 3- 4 am, and the noise made it impossible to sleep through the night.

The owner speaks English very well, and she and her family were lovely and ready to help. They arranged an Ijen crater trip for us at 300k IDR pp, including transport, entrance fee, guide, gas mask, water, and torch. We stayed two very pleasant nights. The room was basic but comfortable and very clean, with a western toilet. Breakfast was homemade and delicious: nasi goreng the first day, then soto. It came with coffee or tea and water. For the service, the price is very low.

The hosts made us feel welcome throughout our stay. It’s in a lovely neighbourhood where you feel part of the local area, and the room was clean, with a nice bed and shower. I can highly recommend it.

The owners were always smiling and tried to help. The spot is peaceful, with a lovely view over the rice fields. I stayed for two weeks, and the sheets and towels were changed twice. The room was clean and comfortable. Thanks for having me.
