Batam View Beach Resort

We had a lovely dinner by the beach, with a beautiful view and food that was reasonably priced. The beach was clean and good for playing in the sea, and there's a kelong nearby. Around the resort, the jacuzzi and infinity pool were nice places to relax with a beach view. The grounds are beautiful, clean and very well maintained, and you can see the staff's effort. They were welcoming and friendly too. Our room was clean and comfortable, a good fit for a relaxing getaway. There's a small animal enclosure that's cute to visit, though feeding isn't allowed. If your room is near the pet area, you might hear chickens early in the morning, so light sleepers may want earplugs. It's a peaceful place for a relaxing stay.

The pools suit different needs: the adult one is deep enough for proper swimming, while the kids' pool feels safe and fun. There are also beach chairs, umbrellas, toilets and children's playgrounds. Batam View Beach Resort in Nongsa has a clean private beach and lovely ocean views, with a calm, refreshing atmosphere and sea breeze. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the resort is well maintained. A nice spot to relax, take photos, and get away from the busy city for a short break.

The breakfast stood out, with a good menu and plenty of variety each day, and the beach is beautiful. The hotel atmosphere is generally nice. I stayed three nights at Batam View Beach Resort, though the experience was mixed. I asked for a Double/King bed, but the room had a parking lot view, which was disheartening. Cleanliness could also have been better, and housekeeping seemed understaffed. I hope management adds more cleaning staff and considers renovating the property so it can reach its full potential.

The room was the biggest problem for getting proper rest. I was in a Superior Room, not a villa, and the walls were extremely thin. I could hear nearly all the noise and movement from rooms beside and above me. The pool was all right but small and crowded, and the hotel's beach area was small and not very clean. Cigarette butts and other trash were scattered around the pools, outdoor facilities and beach. Weekend service, especially check-in, was slow. Check-in was set for 3 PM, but even though I arrived at 4:30, I was told to wait while they cleaned and prepared the room. I finally got in at 5:15. The location itself is fairly decent, secluded and private. Breakfast wasn't good. The food was bland, with no salt in any of the dishes, including the scrambled eggs at the egg station. The pancakes were the only good item. They provide only two small bottles of drinking water, and extra bottles have to be bought from the hotel at quite a high price.
