Casabella Homestay Batam

We had cleanliness problems in both rooms we were given at Casabella Homestay (Batam). In the first, the basin leaked, the toilet had visible urine stains, stickers were left on the sink and doors, and there were spider webs and plaster bagworms. One bed was uneven and slanted to one side. We asked to move rooms, but the second had similar issues, including visible fecal stains in one toilet and a strong unpleasant smell. Staff cleaned when we asked, though seeing the same sponge used across the toilet bowl and seat made us concerned about hygiene. Since this happened in more than one room, the cleanliness didn’t meet reasonable expectations. Based on our stay, it may not suit guests who care a lot about hygiene.

Both rooms we were assigned at Casabella Homestay in Batam had hygiene problems, including visible poop and pee on the toilet seat covers, unpleasant smells, and poor maintenance. Staff did respond when we told them, but the cleaning methods we saw raised more hygiene concerns. With issues in two rooms, the cleanliness overall fell short. This place may not work for guests who prioritize hygiene.

We loved the location, just five minutes from major tourist attractions, and the price was affordable for the quality. The rooms are clean and spacious, great for families. Definitely recommend! :)

They let me check in early, which was nice. The room was clean and well kept, though it didn’t have any windows.
