A peaceful spot for a weekend escape, still close enough to the city, and visitors can fish in the lake or pond. I stayed on a free voucher and it was splendid. The room was tidy and clean, with a large, airy open balcony. Basic amenities were provided, along with one towel, mineral water, and some snacks for bookings from airy. A few mosquitoes bit me, though not many. There was no hot water, and the WiFi didn’t work well. Still, it suits anyone wanting a break from the crowds without going too far from town.

A good place to get a break from the busy part of Batam, and it’s cheap. My room was dusty and the electricity wasn’t working properly. The AC ran, but didn’t cool the room. I don’t know if that was just my room. It was late, around 1 am after I’d enjoyed the lake view, so I didn’t want to bother the innkeeper. Breakfast wasn’t worth it either. They bought cheap local breakfast and brought it to the room, so you’re better off going out to find your own. Apart from that, everything was good.

Set beside an artificial lake, this rustic RedDoorz retreat has chalet style accommodation and basic room amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were generally nice. The AC needed time to cool the room, while the cold shower was a good wake up in the morning. There’s a seafood place down the road.

The rooms are reasonable, and the location’s good, right beside the Golden Prawn restaurants. The AC eventually did the job after a couple of hours running full blast. The area’s being developed, so it should look nicer in a few years.

The view is decent, which makes the condition of the room more of a shame. The air conditioning barely cools even on its lowest setting, and the rooms in general don't seem well maintained. Someone should check the unit.
