The location is good and the staff were okay, but I wouldn't stay again. The towels and bathroom were yellowish and looked unclean, and both bathrooms used by our group of 11 flooded when we showered. My sister was bitten by bed bugs and had to move rooms, but the replacement was uncomfortable too. The hotel doesn't seem well maintained. I don't know how it has a 4.2 rating on Google.

We'd booked three nights, but checked in at 1pm and left at 1.30pm the same day. We lost the money, but leaving was the right choice. In just 30 minutes, we saw enough to make us think it must get worse the longer you stay. Anyone who's stayed here, please be honest in your reviews. This should not be a 4 star hotel. The property was very old and poorly maintained. The floor was uneven, cracked, and sticky; the walls were broken and yellowish. The toilet was rusty and yellow, including the wall and mirror, and the sofa was filthy, black and yellow. We asked for another room, but it was in the same condition. There was no air conditioning at the counter. To get to the lift we had to walk through the dining area. The corridor was very dark, with a room marked 'under maintaince' and another with a bed left outside its door. It was a bit spooky, honestly.

The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay, and breakfast had a tasty range of options. Everything was easy to reach from this hotel, right in the center of Batam. Highly recommended.

The location isn't especially convenient, but the room was okay and the front office staff were polite and friendly. For the price, it was nice and definitely good value. I haven't tried breakfast yet, but I'll post another review.
