At Montigo Welness Spa I had one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced. Mr Lani was professional, attentive, and very skilled. He took time to understand what I needed, and I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. His dedication and genuine care for guests’ well-being really stood out. He’s a real asset to Montigo and a great example of hospitality. Thanks, Mr Lani, for making the visit memorable. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-quality massage.

Erwin, the housekeeping manager, gave us very efficient service. Because the floor was slippery from condensation due to the rain and heat, he arranged a special request for safety and upgraded us to a seafront villa, mainly so the kids could enjoy the experience. He even gave us extra mineral water, and all mosquito repellent was provided. The resort villas were very nice and clean, with most rooms newly renovated. The spa was really good too. A very nice experience, and worth coming with kids and family.

The view was amazing, with parts of Batam Island and even Singapore visible in the distance, both during the day and at night. I loved the infinity pool, spacious room, and large, clean bathroom, especially for the affordable price. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the chef’s mie goreng was especially delicious. The staff were always welcoming with warm smiles and ready to help. I only wish I’d found this resort earlier so I could have stayed here for my whole trip.

I’ve stayed at Montigo on different occasions and have watched the property change over the years. I’m glad to see it keeping up with guests’ needs, and the revamped Kids Club was great. The staff have always gone the extra mile, and I want to pass on my compliments to the team. I’m sharing the rest of this feedback constructively because I hope the hotel keeps delivering the experience it’s known for. The villa was very crowded at checkout, with guests checking in at the same time, and there was no express checkout counter. A separate queue or express option could make leaving smoother, especially at busy times. Getting around was also inconvenient on several occasions because buggy waits were so long. More buggies, or a review of how they’re assigned during peak hours, may help. Breakfast didn’t have the quality or variety I remembered. The fried noodles were clumpy and too salty, and several buffet dishes ran out without being replenished promptly, leaving fewer choices for guests who arrived later. I hope the hotel reviews food preparation and keeps a closer eye on replenishing the buffet. In-room dining also fell short of my previous experience: the food came in takeaway-style packaging instead of on proper plates. For a premium hotel, proper crockery and plating would improve the presentation and dining experience. The spa massage quality seemed to have declined since my earlier visits. It felt less refined and attentive than I expected. Regular checks, refresher training for therapists, and closer supervision might help maintain the standard guests associate with the spa.
