The breakfast was the highlight of my four days and three nights. It’s served across a huge lobby level area, with local and international options, plus egg and noodle stations and even dim sum. I believe it caters especially well to Singaporeans, since most diners seemed to be from our tiny sunny island. My room was spotless, with a firm bed and a table with three chairs that worked well for the guests I was expecting. It had a balcony, and on a clear day I could see MBS on the Singapore shoreline. The bathroom showed its age, but was well appointed and functional, with consistently excellent hot water pressure. Planet Holiday is at least 30 years old. I first stayed there some 20 years ago. The front office staff are always smiling, accommodating, and focused on guests. I’d highly recommend it for a stay that starts each day on a positive note.

It’s an older hotel, but the service was great. The rooms are large, and many have balconies. The pool is nice too, though most of the time you need to bring your own food and drinks. Nagoya foodcourt, campong bule, and nagoya shopping mall are close by, about 5-20 minutes by Grab taxi. Batam Center ferry is under 20 minutes by car. F1 n8ght club is next door and open all night on weekends. Thanks, Planet Hol, I’ll be back for more :-)

I lost my helmet while attending an event at your hotel. I had parked my motorbike on the premises, with no warning signs or restrictions and no instructions from staff. After the event, the helmet was gone. When I reported it, the security staff were dismissive and discourteous, and made no real effort to help or explain what had happened. This raises serious concerns about security management and the way a guest was treated. I’m asking for a clear explanation of the motorbike parking policy, help reviewing the relevant CCTV footage, and a proper assessment of the security staff involved.

There are shops and restaurants around the hotel, and it’s a convenient base for getting around. My room didn’t have a notice with the WiFi password, so I had to ask at reception.

It’s a good old hotel, with good service and a pool for both kids and adults. The harbour and ferry to Singapore are close by. The hotel is also near the bar street, about a 15 minute walk.
