I only found out on the day I left that a short path behind the hotel goes straight to the mall. I wish the sign for that shortcut were larger and more noticeable, or that guests were told about it. The location is very convenient. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was buffet style. Facilities were good, and I liked how easy the switches and plugs were to use. The outdoor pool was a good length. My main gripe was having to shower while standing in the bathtub, since there wasn't a separate shower space.

Breakfast was superb, the room was clean, and the view was great for the location. Everyone on staff was friendly, too. We were given an upgrade to an executive room, which was huge. It was my first stay here and it didn't disappoint. Nagoya shopping mall is just a stone's throw away via the shortcut at the back. I'll stay here again next time I visit Batam, upgrade or no upgrade.

We got a free pickup from the ferry terminal because I booked directly, and were upgraded to a premium room with a mini stock kitchen. It was big and carpeted, with a clean bathtub and toilet, and toiletries provided. The shower gel and shampoo quality could be better. Public toilets, lobby, walkways, and open foyers were clean. The location is convenient, near Nagoya Hills shopping district and Thamrin City, and it was easy to book Grab. Breakfast needs more variety. There's no early check-in, so arriving early means waiting until 2pm. I didn't try the spa or club, so can't comment on those. There are plenty of nearby hotels, and for the price there may be better options. Still, I had a good stay and might return.

The fumes from the room next to mine, Room 309, smelled strongly of kerosene and were unbearable. My nose burned, I couldn't stop sneezing, and it kept running. It seemed that room was undergoing some kind of chemical treatment. I reported it, but this was a serious health and safety issue, and completely unacceptable. Worst hotel I've stayed in.
