There’s no longer a restaurant serving breakfast. The location is convenient, the aircon is cool, and the TV has lots of channels. The room is small, and noise comes straight through the door. I could clearly hear another guest’s 6am alarm and people talking in the corridor. There’s no phone to call the counter, only one charging port, and no shampoo or soap. I had to ask the counter for a kettle, and the shower drain seemed clogged, so water took a while to clear.

Sovrano Hotel Batam is handy for getting around, with local attractions, malls, and restaurants nearby, and it’s reasonably priced for budget-conscious travelers. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and had the essentials for a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the on-site dining had tasty options for different tastes. It seems like a pleasant choice for both work and leisure, with a comfortable, hassle-free stay.

Sovrano Hotel is close to the Grand Batam Mall and is the cheapest option around here, though that price doesn’t include breakfast. Snacks and coffee are easy to find nearby. If you’re Muslim, check what’s in the restaurant dishes before ordering, since most nearby restaurants are Chinese and serve pork.

The location is strategic for getting to the malls and stores in other commercial areas, and the room was fairly comfortable. It was a bit cramped, but there were plenty of ways to work around that. It was usually quiet, and they cleaned the room mostly when I asked, which helped with privacy and cleanliness.

For this price, I think the hotel is quite nice. It’s in a strategic spot, right across from the best mall in Batam. The room is small but okay, and the air conditioner gets really cold. Hot water was at a good temperature, not overly hot like at some other places. They also provide slippers and clothes hangers.
