Freshly washed sheets smelled lovely, and the room was spotless. It was quiet and felt safe, though a little way out of town. That wasn't a problem for me since I hired supir to get to the attractions.

I was happy to find a clean, nice hotel that fits my budget, around 150 thousand per night. Be careful when looking for places in Batam, since Traveloka approves a lot of fake hotels. There's a coffee shop right next door if you get bored, and a coffee there costs 20 thousand. The hotel is near both the airport and the harbor. They lend you towels and provide water, spray, and a really fragrant blanket.
