Odua Bekasi

Being only a 10-minute walk from Bekasi Station is a real plus, and the water was good. I stayed two nights and checked in late, around 23:00, but got a first-floor room beside one that was being renovated. The room was small, as you'd expect from a budget hotel, though it had everything and was surprisingly clean.

The location made a good first impression, but the room was such a letdown. The bed cover and pillow cover were dirty and smelled bad. I called the receptionist, but they didn't respond or help. Wouldn't recommend it.

The location is handy, close to the train station, with lots of food stalls nearby at night, and the shower gets hot. But for a mid-priced hotel, the room felt too small. There was no cable TV, no Wi-Fi, and no AC remote, so when it got too cold I had to switch it off at the electric socket. It was fine overall.

Breakfast ran from 7-10 am on the first floor, with nasi goreng, mie goreng, or roti bakar, plus coffee or tea. One room could choose two meals and two drinks, and they said it could be delivered if requested. The room itself was small, as was the parking lot, and the receptionist didn't ask whether I wanted a non-smoking room. Mine smelled strongly of smoke. The AC didn't work well, seemed dirty, and its remote only changed the temperature, not turned it off. At least the bed looked clean, and there was a TV with local channels only. The towel wasn't as fresh as at other hotels. The bathroom looked old and the toilet was damaged. Toiletries included 3-in-1 soap for shampoo, face, and body, a small bar of soap, and a toothbrush. There was a little gap between the wall for hanging clothes, and the door was aluminum. They say it's a 2-star hotel, and I'd rate it 2/5 too.
