Audi Inn Hotel

I’ve usually been a fan of OYO inns after a great stay at one in Bangkok, where the rooms were clean and the prices affordable. This stay has me wondering if the standards have slipped. It’s day two of four, and I’ve been told the two complimentary water bottles are only provided on the first day. The same goes for the small shampoo tube, just one for the whole stay. There’s no water dispenser on the floor or cups in the room, and a glass of hot water costs IDR5000 when you ask for one. We also got just one toothbrush for the room. 🙃 I hope someone fixes these things, or this may be my last OYO stay.

This is a small inn in town, more like a fancy dorm than a hotel. It has three floors but no lift, and there aren’t any amenities. Cleanliness doesn’t seem well maintained, especially in the bathroom and around the garbage bin. There’s no room service either. I hope they improve the upkeep and service.

The room was moldy, and the pillow was awful. During my stay, a staff member woke me after a long island-hopping trip to move our rental car because the light had been left on. In the morning I asked the owner if she had a cable to charge the car back up. We ended up arguing, and I could hear her shouting at the staff behind the building. It was scary. I’d also read reviews mentioning that they check the trash bins. While I was checking in, the owner called the guy I was talking to, apparently because she was watching things on CCTV. We’d planned to make budget-travel YouTube content, with my sister staying at Lucia and me at this Audi Inn, but the stay was super unpleasant. The bathroom was fairly clean, and the place is close to the center. It was cheap, though for about 100 more we could have gotten La Lucia. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The shower head in the bathroom wasn’t screwed on tightly, so it came loose when the water was running. I had to wedge some paper around it to keep it attached.
