Fairfield by Marriott Belitung

I really liked the traditional design of the beautiful open lobby. The hotel is close to the town centre, with cafés, restaurants, and a small supermarket nearby. My ocean-view room was spotless, the air-conditioning worked great, and the bathroom had lovely hot water with strong pressure. Breakfast was a pleasure, mostly local dishes, with spot-on service from the team. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and attentive. A special thank you to Rhesa, Gaby, Ferdy, Fina, Chyntia, Febri, and all the young ladies working at breakfast. One of the best places I stayed during my time in Indonesia. I felt it was an excellent experience.

The buffet breakfast, mostly local food, was a real highlight, and the location was handy, with cafés, restaurants, and a small supermarket close by. Gaby and Noviyanti were especially attentive and friendly. The open lobby has a lovely traditional look and warm feel, though the hallways seemed sterile beside it. Our room was simple but elegant, and the bed was comfortable. A few things weren’t right: the fridge and safe didn’t work, the phone was broken, and there were no streaming options on the TV. We also had a couples massage. It was okay, but felt overpriced and didn’t include everything promised. We stayed three nights and had a pleasant visit overall. A solid four-star hotel, though more attention to those details could make it truly outstanding.

I rarely write reviews, but I had to for this place. Fairfield by Marriott Belitung was so comfortable I started wondering if I could just move in. The staff made me feel like family, especially Mr. Arnawa and Mrs. Rhesa. Kava Restaurant was the best hotel restaurant I’ve ever tried. I loved the Ikan Bakar Jimbaran and Soto Lamongan, even though I usually don’t like soto. I also got to meet some of the chefs, including Chef Marta, who’s an amazing person. Breakfast was super good, with Belitung specialties every day, and some were even better than what I’d had at local spots. My room was spotless and cozy, with everything I needed. The hotel is beautiful, and though it’s close to the beach and airport, with free airport transfer, I often didn’t feel like leaving. It’s easy to explore Belitung from here. Dinner by the ocean was magical. If you’re visiting Belitung, trust me, book here. You’ll check in for a vacation and wish you could stay forever.

Celebrating iftar with my family here was a fascinating moment. There were lots of sweets, cakes, and food to choose from, with beautiful shores and a sunset view around us.
