Luxotic Private Villa and Resort

The villa for getting ready was another problem. We were told it was included, then a few days before the wedding were told we'd have to pay to use it for two hours. The wedding organiser at Luxotic also gave us false information several times about what was included, and did the same about the curfew. It made an already stressful time much worse. During my ceremony, I was literally dripping with sweat in the chapel. Either some of the air conditioners weren't on or they weren't cooling the room. The service was poor, and the chapel wasn't adequately serviced. I wouldn't recommend this venue.

The room was dirty, with windows under the bed and in the bathroom, and the pictures didn't match. The pool was dirty and unusable. Paying €80 a night for one of the worst hotels in Bali was a real disappointment. At the bar, they had no cocktails, only lemonade they called a mocktail. Definitely not worth the stay or the money.

We had a spacious, clean, well-kept room, immaculate gardens, and a crystal-clear pool. The staff treated us like royalty, and the restaurant food was amazing. The only drawback was the location, though the beach is just a five-minute scooter ride away. This place is the go.

The restaurant had a great buffet, plus other dishes that could be delivered to the villa or eaten in the restaurant. For a place this fancy, the food and drink prices weren't all that high, which surprised me. The staff were quick to respond whenever we needed something, and the pool was very clean. It's about 1.4 meters deep, and you can request pool cleaning from 9 a.m. Our room was roomy and the bed was comfortable. The bedside lamps all worked, and the curtains were useful during Nyepi. The kitchen had a stove, pots, pans, and enough utensils for simple cooking. At the entrance, friendly security staff took our luggage to the lobby. The villa receptionist was especially cheerful and welcoming, with a contagious smile. She explained the accommodation, the room, restaurant hours, and how to behave during Nyepi. If I get the chance to visit Bali again, I'd gladly return. Kudos!
