Paradise Loft Villa 2A, Jimbaran - Bali

The rooms are good, but the cleanliness was awful. The bedcover looked yellow, like it hadn’t been washed, and the hairdryer was broken. The stove took forever to heat, and the dishwashing sponge was already dirty and clearly not new.

The deck had a spectacular view, and the bathrooms were especially clean and well kept. Towels, extra linens, and plenty of drinking water from dispensers were provided. The villa itself was generally clean, and the owner or manager usually responded quickly and was helpful. Getting there by car takes some adjustment. There’s no parking right outside, so you park to the side and walk in. That’s easy on a motorcycle, but parking on a hill can feel unsettling if you’re not used to it. Since the villa is on a hillside, I personally would have preferred somewhere closer to the main roads and easier to reach on foot. The AC in the living room and first bedroom seemed to need servicing, since neither cooled the space until late at night. I also found the 200,000 rupiah electricity allowance, about 138 kWh on the meter, a bit low. Daily use of the things that needed plugging in came to around 13-14 kWh, so I think the allowance should be recalculated. This was my first stay in Bali. I had a good time, and with some improvements the place could be perfect. These are just my own opinions, of course.

The view is nice and having a pool is cute, but those are the only things I liked. The villas are old and falling apart, and the place is badly maintained for how overpriced it is. There were huge cockroaches in the kitchen cabinets and around the property, plus we saw a centipede slithering around about five times. That’s a big no for me. I don’t recommend staying here.

The view is incredible, with a breathtaking 180° look toward both the west and east of the island. The villas sit on a steep hill, though, so parking there is not for the faint-hearted. I only stopped by to deliver something. If you’re a new driver or rider, it’s better to leave your vehicle at the bottom of the hill by the security post.
