The lobby was very hot, check-in took a long time past the required 2:15 pm time, and the employees weren’t friendly to visitors. My room was dirty and seemed uncleaned, with poorly maintained, dirty bathrooms. There was no soap, shampoo, toothbrush, tissue, or mineral water, and the AC wasn’t cold even though I set it to 18 C. The facilities were broken, the towels were shredded and dirtier than doormats, and the TV only had two channels. I won’t stay here again. It’s part of Oyo, but it was the worst Oyo I’ve visited across Indonesian cities. This hotel is very bad.

The bathroom, blanket, and curtain were dirty, and there wasn’t any tissue. The AC barely worked. I set it to 18 C and it still wasn’t cold. No boiled water, coffee, or tea were provided in the room, and the food tasted really bad. There’s a lot that needs fixing. Don’t trust the pictures shown in the app.

Its location is great, and at around IDR 2ook, it’s not bad at all for a former Aston. It used to be Aston Hotel some years ago, then became IShine and is now part of Oyo, shifting from a luxury hotel to a budget one. You can see in the photo that the bathtub, shower, toilet, and toiletries haven’t been maintained well. 😆

Right in the heart of Pekanbaru, it’s a place to enjoy the city at night. The price is acceptable and the service is suitable. This 3-stars hotel fits its accommodation.
