Villa Uma Nina by Nakula

The rooms, pool, and landscaping all worked so well for our group, and the staff were charming and helpful. We held a weekend gathering with friends at Uma Nina and were delighted with the villa. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Mornings began with a swim in a lovely pool, and each day seemed to get better from there. We spent two weeks at Villa Uma Nina in February, and the staff made it feel much like staying in a private hotel. The villa is tastefully done, with lavish en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms. A concierge who also served as butler, the chef, housekeepers, security and gardeners all looked after us. When we fancied a massage, the butler arranged one quickly with a phone call. The setting is secluded and peaceful, yet the main beaches and lots of fun restaurants for food lovers are only a short drive away. Those restaurants cost about a third of what similar places do in London. Our driver was available to take us wherever we wanted and pick us up, and also acted as a personal guide. We arrived very late from the UK and were greeted at arrivals by a welcoming driver, followed by a short drive to the villa.

The staff’s kindness and attention to detail made our trip unforgettable. We came with a group of friends, and the villa and gardens turned out even more beautiful in person than they looked in the photos I’d been excitedly browsing before the trip. We had a delightful time, and the experience surpassed what I expected. If you want a break from the villa, there are beaches, shops, and great restaurants nearby. I’d recommend it for a relaxing stay with close friends or family. You’ll come away with wonderful memories.

The chef’s food was so tasty that we barely felt like going elsewhere. This was my first Bali trip, and we stayed for seven nights. The villa has everything you need and a lot more, from the huge pool and games room to the massage marquee, with impressive grounds and facilities. The villa manager, chef, and other staff welcomed us when we arrived. They stayed incredibly friendly all week and gave us great local tips about things to do and places to go. I really recommend it.
