The staff were really nice and did their best to help, even though they didn’t speak English. The location is good, near the fruit market and the center, and the bedsheets were clean. The rooms need maintenance, and there was mold on the walls. It was also noisy all the time. There are small openings in each room, I guess for ventilation, and every sound comes through.

The people running the place are very kind. The Syariah rules, like only allowing married couples in rooms and not allowing alcohol, are more a feature than a problem. Still, I wouldn’t book it as a foreign tourist. The rooms are the real drawback: most felt damp and smelled bad, especially the bathrooms. Many look onto a large hall where the lights stay on 24/7, so the rooms are always a bit bright. Only two triple rooms on the top floor seemed fine, since they were airy and had windows facing the outside veranda. It might be decent by local standards.

You can walk to Berastagi's main road from here, and there are various angkots from the nearest alfamart. The location is strategic, close to the fruit market and tugu perjuangan, but away from the main road, so it’s not too noisy at night. The rooftop is a nice place to chill. Everything works as expected: hot water, good water pressure, and proper ventilation. It covers the essentials well and is worth the money, especially for locals yah.

The service was very nice, but the room smelled moldy. The water pump is quite loud and inconvenient, and at 4:30 in the morning you can hear prayers from the mosque.
