From the outside this place looks very nice, and the service was nice too. Inside, though, it was very, very dirty. We paid $230k on Travelokia, which felt like far too much. I could understand a $50-100k price per night, but not what we paid. We wondered how the rate could be $230k. Maybe this is what we get for booking through Travelokia instead of directly with the hotel. Our Standard Room clearly hadn't been cared for in a long time. The walls, bed headboard, curtains, and bathroom were badly stained, like nothing had been wiped down for months. The room had a urine smell, and there was only a faucet in the bathroom for washing. It had no shower and no TV, even though one was advertised. There was an open breezeway over the door without a fly screen, so mosquitoes got into the room and bit us all night. Blood marks from people smashing mosquitoes covered the walls and bed, with streaks and stains everywhere. It needs a serious clean. There was noisy activity all night. People were pounding up the stairs and overhead at 3am, shouting to each other, and driving motorbikes in and out. I've never stayed in a much dirtier hotel. I don't think it should be listed on booking sites until it's cleaned, because we really overpaid for what we got.

I paid for a room through Traveloka after the photos and reviews made the place look good. When I got there, they sent me down the road to Kamuna Garden #2, although my booking was for Kamuna Garden. The room was nothing like the pictures. There are gaps above the door with no screens, so mosquitoes can fly in all night. The room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned: there were at least 20 blood marks on the walls and bed headboard from people killing mosquitoes, with fingerprints visible in them. There were cockroaches too, and a slug in the bathroom. That bathroom had no shower, and the room also didn't have the TV listed. Check the Kamuna Garden number 2 review for photos. Maybe booking in person is fine, but I'd avoid Traveloka here, since the room they sent me to was much worse and very different from the photos.

Waking up to a mountain view was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The chef puts real care into the food. Pariban hot spring, which is famous, is nearby. The water heater was the one letdown: during my four days there, I only managed to get it working once. 🤣

The nearest thermal hot spring is just a two-minute walk away, and there’s a free barbecue area plus a convenience store. Our clean room had a clean bathroom too. The family room came with two king-size beds for IDR.400k, and rooms start at IDR.100k.
