De Nau Home

We had a pleasant 13-day stay at Nau Home. Nyoman and his som were so helpful that any little issue or request could be sorted out. Nothing bothered us. There’s a desk and chair in the room, which I need for working from home. The shared fridge is outside, and while wifi on the island isn’t the fastest, it worked fine for me. There’s also as much free water as you can drink. The pool water was clean and left our skin feeling soft. It’s about 300 m from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. You could try a different one every day.

The location was just right, close to the beach and lots of good cafes and restaurants you can walk to. The rooms were spacious, clean, and serviced daily. Nau Home went beyond what we expected. I can’t think of anything bad to say, and we’d definitely stay again.

The service made us feel at home right away, with a welcome drink and staff always on hand for questions. We could order tasty breakfast, lunch, or dinner on WhatsApp from a nearby cafe, which I’d recommend too. We had two different rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both were clean and spacious, faced the pool, and had lovely bathrooms and huge, comfortable beds. Sliding doors opened onto the pool or a cute balcony with a view of it. The clean pool and plants all around made the place feel like a little paradise. It’s also well located near the beach and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The island itself is tranquil, with great seafood and beautiful scenery. This was my best stay in Indonesia so far. I’d recommend it completely. The only downside was having to leave for our next stop before we could extend our stay.

The only disappointment was the cold shower. We’ve had similar experiences with no hot water in Indonesia, but it was still a letdown. I’d stay here again, though. It was a great experience. The rooms were beautiful, and the owner was super friendly and accommodating. We rented scooters from him for cheap, and there was a fridge with affordable beer and soft drinks. The pool was small but surprisingly deep and cool. Great restaurants are nearby, and it’s a short walk to the beach.
