You can step straight onto the beach, and breakfast usually runs until 11, which gave us plenty of time in the morning. At night, though, getting around meant driving because the area has no streetlights and is too dark to walk. The hotel is decent, but don't expect much in the way of amenities: they only provide towels, shampoo, and shower gel. It was a pretty decent stay overall.

We had a fantastic time here over five nights in Cottage 9, the biggest one, which had room for all three of us. The bungalows were full when we visited in mid-August, but it was still quiet since most guests went diving during the day. The beach was almost empty too, aside from the occasional group taking a banana boat ride. The staff were fantastic, breakfast was good, and the location right by the beach was perfect. The rooms are a little dated. Meals are available all day, and they drove us for free to Akasha restaurant, which was excellent.

The food was good, especially the Vietnamese dishes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed twice in one week because the location above a pristine white beach was so nice. My first room was dirty, had no hot water, and rats ran around squeaking all night. The second room was much better.

The staff are incredibly kind and happy to help with any questions. You can walk to the best-rated restaurants nearby, including Akasha and Seascapes, or eat at the resort's restaurant, where the food is fresh. Prices are very reasonable, and I'd happily come back. The bungalows are spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds, good AC, and hot showers that always worked. Best place to stay in Bira.
