We used this as a base for hikes in the national park, and it worked really well. You can arrange nature guides here too. We had Arya for our morning and evening tours; he knew a lot and found all the animals for us. The restaurant was a favorite, with tasty food and big portions. The guesthouse has a distinctive layout, with an enclosed courtyard and dining area, plus an open upper balcony overlooking the jungle that leads to several rooms. Our room was nothing fancy but fine, with a huge bed, AC, and a private bathroom. The pipes linking the sink, toilet, and shower were a pretty creative setup, haha.

We arranged both a morning and a night tour with Gian, their young guide, and everything went smoothly. The price included a morning transfer. His English was very good, he had a great eye for spotting wildlife, and he was happy to shape the tour around our interests while keeping his distance from the animals and putting their safety first. We saw Cuscus Bears, Tarantulas, Sulawesi Gliding Lizards, Black Macaques, Tarsier Monekys, and some beautiful birds. Thanks, Gian. My girlfriend and I spent two nights here to visit the National Park. The rooms were better than most places I’ve stayed in Sulawesi, and everyone was so friendly. It’s in the small town, five minutes from the park entrance, and closer to the beach and supermarket than most home stays.

Arya was our guide for both an evening and a morning tour, booked through the guesthouse. He knows a lot about the animals and was mindful about moving through the jungle in a way that respects wildlife and nature. We’d definitely recommend his tours and a stay here. We spent two nights at Tangkoko Galery Guesthouse and left smiling. The rooms were clean and tidy, with nice big windows, and there was free water, coffee, and tea. Breakfast was great, and the family is wonderful and cooks delicious food. Thanks so much!

Our stay was only 3D2N, and rain cut short some afternoon birding sessions. For serious birders, I’d suggest planning at least 6D5N to see more key species in Tomohon and the nearby islands. Before the trip, I contacted Esli directly through WhatsApp. He quickly put together a detailed itinerary covering transfers, lodging, meals, and birding tours, with a full quotation. We reached an agreement within a day without any fuss. During the trip, he took great care of us and focused on helping us find birds. He knew the best places to look depending on the weather, and we had meaningful conversations about local eco-tourism and conservation. The accommodation was clean, basic but comfortable, with AC and a hot shower. The meals were tasty, authentic Indonesian home cooking served in large portions. He also set up breakfast and coffee for us in the field, with a pop-up table and chairs at the birding spot. Esli and his team went the extra mile to look after us, and his guiding had a personal, passionate touch. The whole experience was seamless and enjoyable, and I’d definitely recommend Esli as a guide.

Our room and bed were spacious, the bedding smelled fresh, and the shower had strong pressure with plenty of hot water. It was a comfortable night, and this is probably the largest and cleanest accommodation in the village. The restaurant's food was so tasty and healthy that we ordered the same dish for lunch and dinner. Staff kindly arranged tours and transportation, which made everything run smoothly. Thanks so much, Paska, Indra. The Tangkoko National Park tours were thoughtfully planned. We went with ✨Arya in the afternoon and again in the morning. He had great equipment, a good sense of humor, and an incredible ability to find the best places to observe wildlife. Along the way he even picked up trash and gave detailed explanations. He was clearly passionate, and we felt lucky to have had him as our guide. We highly recommend staying here and exploring the park from this place. It made our journey unforgettable.
