The service was very good and friendly, and the food was good with a decent range. It’s within walking distance of the park entrance. Our room was simple, but the mattresses seemed quite new; the bathroom is dated but works. For what’s available in the area, the price is good. You can get here from Manado by Indrive for 225/250k. When you leave, though, you’re at the mercy of local drivers and they charge whatever they want. It was 300k to Bitung, so I imagine Manado would be really expensive.

We did the night and morning tour with Roy, who was a good guide. After one night here, we were also very happy with the room and especially the breakfast. There was loads of it, and it was really good!

Roy was the highlight of our forest treks. He was knowledgeable, excellent company, and found all the animals we hoped to see: Cuscus, Tarsier, Macaques, and Hornbills, plus Sulawesi flying lizard and tarantulas. Everyone at the place was attentive and very nice, and the food was excellent. It’s a comfortable spot within walking distance of both the reserve and the village on the beach. Highly recommended.
