The staff were warm and helpful, and our room had a comfortable bed and decent space. I also liked the in-room coffee, traditional Indonesian kopi tubruk by Oplet, and the herbal jamu choices at breakfast. The building has a lovely courtyard and sits right across from the Botanical Gardens, so the location is hard to beat. Still, the hotel needs serious refurbishment. The furnishings, carpets, curtains, and seating are worn and dated. There were water stains by the AC grill and peeling finishes on the doors. Water pressure and hot water weren’t always reliable. Our AC didn’t work at first, but technicians fixed it promptly. With better upkeep and management, this heritage property could live up to its potential. Right now, it seems to rely on its charm.

Room: 3.8/5, roomy, with orange lighting. The bathroom has a bathtub. Facilities include a pool, palyground, meeting room, drugstore, reflexy chair, bussiness center, and dentist. Breakfast: 3.5/5, about what you’d expect from a 3-star place. The old-style atmosphere gets 3.7/5. Location is strategic, 4/5. Service and staff are standard, noise level is quiet, and value for money is moderate. Historical values meet modeen techno.

For a 4 star hotel, the shower’s hot water was weak, the safety box malfunctioned, and the aircon compressor was noisy. perintah should work hard for Indonesian tourism industry...

I was in town competing at IPB University and had a pretty positive stay. The room was comfortable and a good place to relax, and the hotel had a pleasant feel. The staff were especially friendly and accommodating. The food didn’t exceed my expectations, but it was still worth trying.
