Borobudurhills

I picked the porridge at breakfast and really liked it. There’s a small car park across the road, and the staff helped us with our luggage. I paid 550k a night with breakfast through traveloka over a long weekend, which wasn’t too bad. The hotel is simple but cozy, with a spacious, clean room, hot water, AC, a balcony, and a pool. You can see the borobudur temple from here, though that annoying signal tower is in the way lol. 28/06/25

You get a clear look at Borobudur Temple, with Merbabu and Merapi looming behind it. The drive to and from is worth it too. It’s easy to reach by Grab, the views are amazing, and the staff are lovely. The owner paid special attention to us, and breakfast was home cooked.

The service was very satisfying. After we checked out, the staff contacted me to say my child had left a phone charger behind, so it wouldn’t get lost.

I booked the pool villa and was happy with it. The room was spacious and clean, and the pool was clean and big enough to swim in, not just a plunge pool. Borobudur is visible from the private pool area. They cleaned the room every day and changed the sheets and towels. The hotel is about 10 minutes by car from Borobudur, surrounded by kampong. I stayed during fasting and Ied, and the fireworks were super noisy at times. The parking is across from the lobby and rooms. Breakfast is ala carte with simple choices like fried rice, noodles, bread, and omelet. There are free bikes to ride around the hotel. You can see Borobudur in the distance, though unfortunately the hotel faces BTS. Toiletries are simple, and there’s a sofa bed in the room.
