A quiet, quaint little place, about a 20-minute walk from the beach.

For the price, it’s spectacular and you get more than you pay for. The beds are really comfortable, the A/C gets freezing cold, and there’s plenty of hot water. The place could use a light renovation, though cleanliness was pretty good overall. A couple of spots get missed, like the trash can lid, which looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned this century, and the bottom ledge of the bathroom door. The pillows have light stains, which is a bit annoying. I liked having a fridge in every room and a shared kitchen.

I love that this hidden gem is on a small local street with lots of warung, and still pretty close to everything. The place feels modern and cozy, with a nice pool and friendly staff, but it’s due for some maintenance. In our room, the bathroom door handle was coming off and made it hard to get out. The sink pressure was ridiculous, although the shower was fine. There wasn’t a night lamp or anything similar, so it was either the blinding main light or sitting in darkness.

It’s an affordable place where you can cook, and there’s free mineral water in the kitchen. It’s close to the market and shops, so getting food is easy. The street is narrow, though, and there’s no proper parking. You have to leave your car in front of the neighbor’s place.
