This was my favorite place in Bali during my month there, even compared with more expensive stays. The rooms are simple, pleasant, clean, and spacious enough. They’re in small connected buildings around a peaceful, charming courtyard. I especially liked the seating outside the rooms in the evening, when there’s often a nice breeze. Everyone working here is lovely. Mama Nancy has traveled a lot herself and knows how to make travelers feel at home, and the rest of the staff are just as kind and welcoming. Stay more than a couple of days and you’ll probably notice the warm, community feel among the guests. Many people come back, and it’s easy to see why.

The garden gives this local inn a really relaxed feel, and Mama Nancy and her family made the stay especially meaningful with their kindness and hospitality. My room had working air conditioning and a fridge. The facilities are a little dated, but everything was clean, so that didn't bother me. They provided soap, towels, a toothbrush and toothpaste, plus a welcome drink. For the price, it’s a great deal if you just need the basics and a place to sleep after spending the day out. I’d happily recommend it.

The bathroom was clean, but the Wi-Fi wasn't very good and there was no mineral water. I stayed a week ago, and most things were fine. The problem was the noise from the family outside. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you hear the children crying and shouting, and the family laughing and yelling late at night and early in the morning. It made it hard to sleep.

Mama Nancy, the friendly local who owns this little inn, welcomed me with a home-cooked meal as soon as I arrived. She makes guests feel like family. I've stayed in more comfortable places, but that kind of hospitality is hard to put a price on.
