The owners are friendly and kind, and the neighborhood is peaceful, with no motorbike or car noise. It’s a simple homestay among local Borobudur residents, just right if you’re after a quiet stay.

A clean homestay that works well for backpackers, about a 1 km walk from Borobudur Temple. Rooms were listed at 150,000, 200,000, and 800,000 Rupiah. I paid 150,000 Rupiah for my 3x3m room through a broker, though it may have been around 120,000 Rupiah otherwise. It fits 4-5 people, and an extra bed costs 30,000 Rupiah. Food options include pecel, a vegetarian salad, with egg and tempeh for 11,000 Rupiah, sweet tea for 4,000 Rupiah, coffee for 5,000 Rupiah, and boiled noodles with egg and meatballs for 10,000 Rupiah. There’s a prayer room and soap. Fans are limited.
