Ayu, Dewa, and Wiyisrani made us feel so welcome and cared for. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail gave us what felt like a real Ubud experience, and took our stay beyond anything we'd had before. Every detail felt personal from the moment we arrived, and the staff were always ready to help. Maar Resort & Spa Ubud by iNi Vie Hospitality is easily the best hotel I've stayed at. We were genuinely sad to leave and will carry the memories with us for a long time. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ubud. Highly, highly recommended.

Our first morning here has been lovely. The terrace view is breathtaking, and waking to jungle sounds feels magical and relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight, thanks to Dedy. He was warm, attentive, and appreciative, always greeting us with a big smile and great energy. His kindness made us feel welcome straight away and set a lovely tone for the day. If this morning is anything to go by, the hotel is special. We can't wait to see more.

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and that made the stay feel welcoming. We had a clean, comfortable room that was thoughtfully arranged, so it was easy to slow down and enjoy the calm surroundings. The resort feels tucked into nature, with lovely greenery and rice field views. Waking up to that was one of my favorite parts, especially near sunset when everything felt even quieter. A lovely spot for a few peaceful days to unwind and recharge.

The staff were professional and very helpful, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. Villa Masr Resort was clean, well maintained, and fully equipped. A comfortable, enjoyable holiday spot, and I'd recommend it to families and couples.

The location made the other problems harder to manage. There aren't decent restaurants or alternatives nearby, and the closest good options are about 20 minutes away by car. That makes a spontaneous meal difficult and means planning transport for every proper meal. The air was another ongoing issue. Smoke from nearby villages burning wood hung around, with a strong smell, and at times it was genuinely hard to breathe. Anyone sensitive to air quality could find that a deal-breaker. The food and drink options were also disappointing for the price. The restaurant menu was very limited, mostly Western fast food style dishes like pasta, pizza, fries, and burgers. In Bali, many travelers want local food. Breakfast wasn't much better: stale, hard croissants, old bread, questionable butter, and portions so small it was hard to feel satisfied. The most serious problem was having no running water in our room for three days straight. Staff repeatedly told us it would be fixed soon or later that day, but those promises weren't true and the problem was never properly resolved. Communication felt misleading instead of transparent. Going days without water for showers, toilets, or basic hygiene is unacceptable at any hotel, especially one presented as high end. The room looked beautiful at first, with jungle views, privacy, and a luxurious feel, but that impression quickly faded in daily use. One other thing about the room types: the cheaper room with a balcony jacuzzi was actually better than the pricier private pool room. It had more usable space, a better layout, and a nicer feel overall. Paying extra for the pool room didn't make sense and felt misleading. This was one of our most disappointing hotel stays. The photos look premium, but poor infrastructure, weak management, limited food, and failures in basic services made the price hard to justify. We'd strongly advise future guests to look elsewhere.
