The owner was friendly, the dogs were cute, and the views of the sea and Mount Agung were great. We also liked our comfortable, clean room. The center offers diving courses and rents GoPro cameras. There’s nothing vegan on the menu, but the owner was flexible and made us fruit, vegetables, and fried tofu+tempeh. Yummy. We’d stay here again if we return to Tulamben.

We stayed in two rooms: one downstairs with a nice balcony, and another upstairs with lots of light and an ocean view. The upstairs mattress was much more comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the owner was busy making sure everything ran as it should. It’s a very nice family place, with ambient music playing and good food. The pool is charming, and we felt welcome and looked after. I’d come back.

Service was excellent and friendly, and the rooms are spacious. The location is good too, with just a 10 minute walk to the beach and most restaurants and dive shops.

Everything in the room worked, so the stay was comfortable in that practical sense. Still, I found the room noticeably dusty when I arrived, and the food was average, neither bad nor memorable. The staff were courteous enough, but their service felt routine rather than warm or attentive. It was an acceptable stay, though cleanliness, hospitality, and food could all be better.

The service was very poor. The owner didn’t understand what the customer was saying, but kept saying yes, so I couldn’t trust her answers anymore. In the end, we didn’t get breakfast and were asked to pay extra, even though that was outside the original agreement. At first they said breakfast was included in the room price. That was all there was to it.
