Villa Mangga Beach

For a quiet, local-feeling stay, this was comfortable and straightforward. The pebble beach nearby is scenic and peaceful, with good snorkelling spots, though it isn’t the best place to lounge on the sand. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, including a proper vegetarian and vegan restaurant, plus a small supermarket with fresh bread and rolls. The resort itself has a friendly, easygoing atmosphere. Rooms are bright, clean, and spacious. We had a couple of minor bathroom maintenance problems, but staff sorted them out quickly and without fuss. They were welcoming and chatty, especially if you like a bit of conversation, and some spoke English quite well as well as Bahasa. Breakfast is included and simple, massages are available on site, and Wi-Fi worked reliably across the property. Grab and Gojek don’t operate in Amed, but the resort can arrange taxis and help book local trips and activities.

Had a wonderful stay. The room was big, and the staff were lovely. They even took me to dinner and came to pick me up afterwards. Breakfast was brought every morning at the time I requested. I really recommend staying here!

The pool was clean and nice, the breakfast tasty, and the rooms are large and close to the beach. But the bathroom was a disaster. The shower was a joke and made washing my hair really difficult, and the toiletries looked disgusting. The villas are a little old, which wouldn’t bother me, but they need a deep clean. The pool sunbeds also don’t seem to get cleaned very often. My friends in another villa had an AC problem. I saw a review about the same issue roughly a month earlier, apparently in the same villa, so it feels like they aren’t taking enough care to fix it. The area is very calm, with good restaurants, massage, laundry, and a small supermarket within walking distance. I know the price is cheap, but I’ve stayed in much better places in Bali at a similar price.

We rented all eight rooms as a group, so we even got to have dinner by the beach. The manager helped us arrange everything we needed, including laundry, massages, scooters, and mask and snorkel gear. The staff were kind, helpful, and spoke good English. It’s also within walking distance of some of the best sunset spots. The little hotel sits among lovely greenery, trees, plants, and rice fields. There’s a pool for kids and one for adults. Rooms are basic, but very clean. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
