The room was spacious, with two queen beds for four people. The shower pressure was amazing, and there was hot water the whole time. The bed could be better, though it wasn’t too bad. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and crockery, plus a fridge. Breakfast was basic and not very good, apart from the fresh-cut fruit. Service was basic too, though you don’t really need much from the staff. You can buy groceries at the shop across from the hotel and skip breakfast if you’d rather cook. There’s a pool, but it isn’t well maintained. Bring your own soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, since those aren’t provided. Towels are provided, but they’re worn and some have holes. The room was reasonably clean, and there are hangers. It’s a good place, and you can work around the shortcomings by bringing your own toiletries and towel. Whether the price is right depends on what you value.

The location is great, close to the beach, and we went snorkeling and swam with fish. We stayed two nights with three adults and four small kids. The kitchen was useful for cooking for the children, and there’s a mini mart out front selling fruit, meat, bread and vegetables. Indomart is close by too. We booked a three-bedroom villa and were surprised to get two spacious, separate units side by side in a private garden, away from the other rooms. One unit had one bedroom with a large bed and two twin beds, plus a kitchen and bathroom. The other had two bedrooms with two large beds, also with a kitchen and bathroom. It was more space than we needed, but keeping track of the kids as they moved between units was a little tricky. The rooms were very clean, but some towels were old and looked dirty, and the bathroom mat had a big hole. Bring your own toiletries. They provided only a few small bars of soap and toilet paper, with no liquid soap, shampoo or tissues. The restaurant food was decent. Internet didn’t work at all, so we couldn’t use the Wi-Fi. The water in one bathroom wasn’t working when we arrived, but they fixed it quickly. Road and footpath construction in Amed can make the trip here crowded. The pool is large, but something seemed wrong with the chemicals and pH. We noticed as soon as we got in, and the water didn’t feel good for the kids. They need to pay more attention to pool maintenance. Overall, we had a great stay and I recommend this bungalow.

I spent two months in Bungalow 2 at Pazzo and really loved it. The bungalow was big, with a separate kitchen and a nice balcony overlooking palm trees. The pool is great and the staff are super nice. There’s a bar and restaurant, and if you don’t feel like going out, they’ll bring food to your bungalow so you can eat at home. The location is perfect, right across from a big shop and close to restaurants.

It’s a quiet, pleasant place, and the staff are friendly. The price is good, but you’ll need some form of transport, like a motorbike. The pool is nice, but watch out for broken ceramic on the floor. My daughter cut her foot on it. They told me they’d fix it by the end of 2016. Breakfast felt a little light for me, and there was no juice on the menu.
