One week at The Anom wasn’t enough for me, and we’ll definitely come back. The place has a great vibe, lovely rooms and welcoming, friendly staff. Its restaurant serves really good food at fair prices. There’s plenty of help and services available, including laundry, massage, snorkeling, diving, taxis and vehicle rental. The beach is great for relaxing or snorkeling, and the local town is close by. For me, The Anom is well worth it.

I spent five days in a bungalow and loved how quiet and peaceful it was, very romantic too. You can hear the ocean all the time, but it isn’t noisy, and the beach has almost white sand. The restaurant has a nice sea view, an amazing chef and good food. Some facilities are a bit old, though they aren’t dirty, and that even adds to the charm. There are lots of other restaurants and local shops nearby. If you want a quiet place with atmosphere, a lovely Bali-style rest and its own beach, this is the right spot. It’s also central for the Bali sights you might want to see. I rented a car, though the receptionist is always ready to call a taxi. For the price, I recommend it.

For the price, I thought it was fair value, though the place seems past its best. The garden path runs between the bungalows, with the pool, reception and parking area beyond the restaurant and bar. Sunloungers sit just above the beach. It’s a small, pleasant hotel on a long, narrow strip of land. Most staff were courteous, friendly and ready to help. Breakfast came with the room, but there was no written menu and hardly any choice. Service was slow, partly because there didn’t seem to be enough staff.

The room was fine for what we paid, and we had a lovely one-night stay at this beautiful hotel. The pool and beach are great spots for vacation photos to make friends back home jealous. Dinner at the restaurant was quite an experience too, although the food was really expensive by Bali standards. It was also very dark eating near the beach.

We’re checking out early. The beach is excellent and the location is the one good thing here, but the room is dirty, the sheets smell moldy, and the bed doesn’t even have a proper mattress. The staff were a mixed bag, some good and some terrible. We had to wait just to get a menu for dinner because they didn’t have enough for the guests. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Bali. It costs nearly as much as other places I’ve tried, so the price isn’t an excuse. There’s another hotel near tanah lot for about the same money that felt like a 5 star experience. I don’t know how this place gets away with it.
