Devan Guest House Canggu

The rooms were roomy and very clean, and the Wi-Fi worked quickly and reliably. The courtyard and pool are lovely too, as long as you don't expect luxury at this price. A cheerful, affordable place to stay in Canggu, and one I'd recommend if you're on a budget.

We chose this place for some peace and quiet, and being a bit outside central Canggu suited us. The centre felt too hectic, and we were glad to be away from the traffic. The guest house is a 5-10 minute walk from an M Mart and a coffee shop. We especially liked Törst Coffee shop, which is lovely, as are the staff there. The people working at the guest house, who we think are family, put in so much effort. The young woman who made breakfast each morning for our 10 days was cheerful and welcoming, and the food was amazing. She even helped us get a huge spider out of our room. When it was my partner's birthday during our stay, they bought my partner a birthday gift, which we loved and really appreciated. We'd happily recommend the place and stay again. The breakfast was delicious and very affordable. Our room stayed clean and tidy, and we could ask for turndown service each day. A good place for a longer stay.

We really enjoyed the pool and the large kitchen, which had everything we needed. On our last day we tried the villa breakfast, and it was delicious, far better than we expected. Vera and the team were friendly, quick to respond, and helpful with our last-minute requests. Suksema Vera and team, we'll definitely come back. There were eight of us in my family, staying for a week at the end of August, and we had plenty of room. The villa is away from the busy area, which worked well for us. The rooms were spacious and clean, with air conditioning in each one, and we loved the hot showers. We arranged our own driver for the week, but you'll need a scooter or driver to get around; the team can help arrange one. I'd recommend it for larger groups.
