Gangga Guesthouse

I didn't feel safe at any point during my stay, and ended up spending most of my time outside because I couldn't live in that room. These few days were a real ordeal. The hotel offered silence and inaction instead of help, even though I repeatedly told the front desk about the constant noise and aggressive behavior from neighbors. I couldn't sleep, felt unsafe, and was verbally abused. Staff only said, “we wrote to them,” and nothing changed. One night, my neighbors had a party in the common area with alcohol, promiscuous women, and constant swearing. I kept asking them to stop so I could sleep. Then one of the men attacked me, insulted me, and made me cry. The hostess of the gest house just watched, did nothing, and went to bed. I didn't sleep that night, cried all night, didn't eat, and it wrecked my emotional state. At checkout, the hotel demanded more than the agreed amount. Staff surrounded me, filmed me without authorization, pressured me psychologically, and threatened me. It was humiliating, traumatizing, and completely unacceptable. If you're a woman traveling alone, or just a self-respecting person, stay away from this place. They don't care about your comfort.

I would've liked a bathroom window for better ventilation, though it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, I had a great time at Gangga. Breakfast was complimentary and tasty, and the air con and hot water worked well. The staff were attentive and made the room spotless every day. We could walk to a few restaurants we tried, including Machinery and Dandelion, and Batu Bolong beach was less than five minutes away by motorbike. Great value for money.

Hey! After trying five places in Bali, we finally found this guesthouse and stayed for two months. The owners are incredibly nice, the rooms are neat and clean, and everything works. It's quiet, with the ocean close by. Everything was perfect! Thank you! We'll stay only with you from now on!

I stayed for two months, and the host family are the nicest people. The rooms are simple, with a queen bed, desk, two nightstands, and a lamp, and they're cleaned every day. There's a shared kitchen, but no pool. Still, you're only a minute from the beach by scooter. It's just off Canggu's main road, so you can get to the beach quickly without being right where it gets noisy and busy. The rooms are quiet and new, and have balconies with chairs. From the top floor you can see Canggu and the water; the lower two floors look out over a small patch of farmland. There's no cement villa wall blocking the view, and the rooms get lovely sunlight in the morning and at sunset.
