The location is a real plus, quiet for Canggu and still convenient. For a budget stay, the value is decent, though the property and rooms feel worn and could use an update. The friendly cleaning staff stood out, while the rest of the team felt fairly neutral. The outdoor toilet wasn't clean enough and needs a more thorough scrub. Our clothes came back stained from the laundry, so I'd avoid that service; there are plenty of other options nearby. It's acceptable if you're not expecting luxury and want to keep costs down.

We told them about my mold allergy, but they sprayed another room and asked us to move there. It was already so late that we couldn't wait for the spray to clear, and the next morning the smell was shocking. The AC was moldy too. They knew mold was bad for my health and still kept us there. If they hadn't used tricks to mask the smell temporarily, I'd have given a 4. Shame on you.

I rarely leave reviews, and I even put up with a strange toilet smell at my last hotel, but this stay has pushed me to write one. I booked the deluxe bungalow, and it was a general disappointment. I'm likely leaving tomorrow because I can't sleep with so many insects around; reviews make some of the other rooms sound poor too. There are ants and bugs all over the room, probably getting through gaps in the wood in this traditional-style building. The netting helps a little. The toilet is nice and sort of clean, but ants are everywhere there too. The AC is weak, and the room gets really hot during the day, with the sun heating the walls. I passed another room with its door open and felt cold air, so the weak AC seemed specific to the deluxe bungalow. I asked the staff if I could see another room and downgrade. At first they said it might be possible, but after messaging the manager, they said no and claimed everything was booked. I don't know if that was true, since my girlfriend said she saw available rooms on their whiteboard. On the positive side, they have laundry service, and the receptionist was patient while I took too long to gather the clothes I wanted washed. The area in Canggu is quiet and fairly peaceful. My ratings: room 1, service 4, location 4.

Bagas at reception was very sweet and easy to approach, and you can rent bikes here. Guests can also cook in the shared kitchen. It's about a 10-minute drive to Finns Beach club and Atlas. The accommodation itself is very basic, just a bed and wardrobe. There was no wifi, and the bathroom water smelled awful, so I brushed my teeth with bottled water. Bring mosquito repellent cream or spray.
