Oasis Canggu Bali

The location is good, and having a pool is a nice extra, but the busy area brings quite a bit of traffic noise. The room was decent, though the bathroom could use improvement. Its swing doors give little privacy, and the squeaky hinges are loud enough that I could hear the neighbours going in and out of their bathroom. More seriously, there’s no safe or other secure place to store valuables. Cash was stolen during our stay. We reported it to management, but they didn’t seem to take responsibility.

We used Voyager for two weeks and found it fabulous. It’s quiet and clean, with great food, cocktails by the lawn and pool, and staff who are attentive and helpful. Each room has a high-walled garden with an outdoor shower. It’s a peaceful spot right in the middle of trendy Canggu. Book in advance, since we saw travellers dropping by hoping to find somewhere at short notice.

Cafe Voyager was busy for Saturday night Movie Night, and the atmosphere was awesome. We watched Point Break and then the Hobbit. We were welcomed warmly, and the food was great, even though they’d run out of almost everything that night. That seemed to show it was fresh and they weren’t keeping too much in the freezer. It’s a great weekend spot, and I’d tell people to check it out.

Rooms come with patios, minibars, coffee makers, and free WiFi. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, a bar and lounge, and a restaurant. Breakfast is cooked to order and free, as is WiFi in public areas and self-parking. There’s also a café, concierge service, and dry cleaning and laundry.
