Oyo 90195 The Koi Guest House

The room had a smell, and the building seemed to amplify the street noise. I had very bad nights.

Stayed here for a while. It was clean and quiet, and right next to echo for early surfs.

I spent a week at the koi guest house and thought the price was really good for a place right on the beach. The service stood out most, though. Sri was kind and thoughtful, replied almost straight away, and helped me change my dates when my plans shifted. I’d absolutely recommend her hospitality.

The staff were friendly, but the room itself wasn’t great. For about 25 USD, the price was the one thing in its favor. It smelled damp when we arrived, and the bedding was wet and musty, hard to ignore when you’re trying to sleep. The bathroom didn’t feel very clean either. The shower is right beside the toilet, and the drain is poor, so water gathered around the toilet and sat there for quite a while. The location is right by the beach, though it wasn’t a pretty stretch. There’s a lot of construction at the moment, with no sidewalk on either side of the street. A mart just outside was handy, and there were a few warangs, though nothing special. There are some nicer restaurants too, but we didn’t try them. It’s a bit of a walk to Canggu’s stops, but manageable.
