Rama Village Hotel

Canggu has gotten much busier, with more people and restaurants around now. This was my second stay at Rama Village, the first being before Covid. The place is a bit older these days, but I still like the rooms, garden, and pool.

The large pool was a lovely bonus, and the place itself was clean and quiet. You can walk to the beach from here, which made getting there really easy. I had a very relaxing stay in Canggu.

The pool was the best part for us, and it never felt too crowded. Rama is also very peaceful, though it's an easy 10-15 minute walk to cafes, bars, beaches, yoga, and gyms. We stayed for 10 days and, for our budget, this was the best villa we found. We'd recommend it. The downsides were a basic room, limited breakfast variety, and some bugs inside, though that was to be expected. The villas are split in two, so you have a neighbor and can hear them; the rooms aren't soundproof. Still, the place was clean and quiet overall, with a great location and pool.

The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with crisp, clean sheets. It's a firm mattress, so that worked well for us. The host was warm and friendly, and the air conditioning cooled the room properly, unlike at some other places we've stayed. It's set back from the main road, so it feels peaceful, but food is still within walking distance and you can hop on a scooter to explore. We'll definitely come back when we're in Canggu.
