Cemagi Townhouse Managed by CPM Bali

We really needed a place like this after living in Canggu, and I can't wait to move in. It's in a lovely, peaceful part of Cemagi, close to Riviera cafe and the learning center. Such a calm spot.

Be careful with Cemagi Townhouse #10, the only villa there with a large pool. We paid CPM 270 million IDR in advance for a year, but after two and a half months they said we had to leave because of an “internal decision.” We later found out they had rented the villa to someone else, apparently for more money, and asked us to move out in a day. We agreed after dealing with repeated problems during our stay. The roof leaked in the rain and flooded rooms. Black, poisonous fungus was on the walls, and despite asking for weeks, nobody removed it. Every few days the electricity went out, and we sometimes had no water in the shower or even the toilet. We had paid 270 million plus a deposit and couldn't flush the toilet. The villa was also surrounded by dense buildings, so we couldn't open the curtains without being seen. Before moving in, we had dealt with Gresiria on FB. She was nice while selling us the villa, but once we were living there, she would ignore us for days or longer whenever issues came up. Our contract was with CPM. The worst part was trying to get back the 208 million for the unused period. They ignored our calls and chat messages and kept the money. We spent several hours at their office, but the “decision-making manager” never came out, and they wouldn't give us his or the owner's contact details. I don't know whether we would have got our money back otherwise. The day after I posted this review, they returned 190 million, without explaining why 18 million was missing. We had also paid a deposit. I recommend avoiding Cemagi Townhouse and the villas managed by CPM, especially Cemagi Townhouse #10, unless you want the worst experience of your life.
