Villa Alam Taru

I hadn’t stayed in a private villa in Bali for a long time, but I’m glad I tried it again. Having a little villa in the compound all to myself was a highlight. In the afternoon, the main house shaded the deck, where I could fall asleep beneath the frangipani trees. Cafés, yoga and Pilates studios, and the black sand beach were all an easy 5-10 minute walk away.

The small touches made our stay even better, especially the sheer and blackout curtains that let us choose how much natural light we wanted, and the beautiful antique Balinese furniture. The house and grounds were immaculate, the kitchens and bathrooms had everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable. Villa Alam Taru was a dream. I’d highly recommend it for any kind of getaway, it won’t disappoint!

Waking up to birdsong and a view of the rice fields was lovely. It’s such a peaceful, relaxing place, and a great find. The beds and bedding were lovely too, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The beach and a local yoga studio are an easy walk away. We’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend this villa.

We spent over a month here, and it honestly felt like a dream. The landlord did everything they could to make us comfortable, and the service was excellent. We always felt welcome, and the villa was a perfect place to rest. Finding somewhere spacious and peaceful near Canggu can be difficult. Having the nearby black sand beach was a big plus. We’d happily return anytime and highly recommend it.
