The Dafish Ceningan

We spent a week here and tried two bungalows. Both were lovely, though each had its own plus: the deluxe cottage had more space and a sweet garden-facing patio, while we preferred the bathroom in the superior room. There isn’t much nearby beyond a couple of useful supermarkets and a few restaurants, but the hotel rents scooters for 80k IDR a day, so you can get out and explore. The staff were always smiling, friendly, and helpful. The only things we weren’t keen on were the salt water in the showers and sinks, and a very loud broadcast nearby during our first three nights. It sounded like a radio station and went on for hours, but then stopped and we had no more trouble. Neither issue was a big deal for us.

It seems like a family-run place, and everyone was lovely and friendly. The rooms were tidy and clean, with good aircon, and Mahana point is just two minutes away for surfing and a great sunset. Good value, and I’d happily stay again. Highly recommend.

The host arranged taxis for us and was incredibly helpful, while the owner seemed willing to do anything for guests. The place is somewhat isolated if you don’t ride a scooter, and you need two taxis to reach Lembongan because cars can’t cross the yellow bridge. Still, it’s near the beach and restaurants, and there’s a nice spot outside each room to sit. The pool area is great, the AC is powerful, and the bed was comfortable. Having a mosquito net was nice too. The shower was cold, though that’s pretty normal on an island. Staff also organized plenty of trips and activities for us.

A really peaceful spot for the last part of my trip. I loved the calm atmosphere at Dafish and the service was flawless. Several beautiful beaches and lagoons are close by. Highly recommended. :)
