The hanging bed and spacious kitchen make this place feel special, and the bathroom is in its own building. It’s tucked into the jungle above the rice paddies, with plenty of privacy and a quiet, unusual feel. Bring mosquito spray, something to read, and a little Bahasa Indonesia. You could easily end up staying a while :)

You’re pretty much on your own among the trees here, with just a roof, mosquito net, and bamboo blinds between the treehouse and the jungle. It’s basic, but inexpensive, and a lovely fit if you enjoy being in nature. There’s a cold shower and bathroom at ground level, plus a kitchen with a gas stove and fridge. Get in touch before you go, since it’s hard to find: there’s no road, just a foot or bike path about 200 metres into the forest.

I tried all sorts of ways to find this address in Batukaras, including Google Maps and asking people nearby, but I couldn’t locate it. I called the owner, who was out of town, and still didn’t get clear directions. I don’t know whether Green Sky is still operating.
