There are several ways to enjoy the pools, from public and private ones to little spots just for dipping your feet. Families can use the kid-friendly areas, while couples or solo visitors can find quieter corners. The entrance fee is reasonable, though some sections and private pools may cost extra. The mineral-rich water comes straight from the nearby volcano and feels especially good in the mountain air. Ciater Hot Springs is surrounded by tea plantations, a calm green setting after exploring the cooler highlands around Bandung. It can get packed on weekends and holidays, and some areas could be better maintained. Still, a soak here after hiking or visiting Tangkuban Perahu is memorable and soothing, a nice change from busy Bandung.

It's very cheap, but you get what you pay for. Teenagers make up a lot of the visitors, and cleanliness around the pool isn't great. People smoke by the pool, and cigarette ends, cans, and water bottles sometimes float around. If that doesn't bother you, it's an alternative for relaxing in hot water.

The staff were friendly, and the place was tidy and clean. I wasn't expecting much after reading reviews calling it old and poorly maintained, but it turned out to be a nice spa. There are lots of small and large warm pools, and you can relax there all day for a small fee. At first I had to get used to the locals staring at us, but they seemed to get used to us after a while. Had a really relaxing day.

I used to like this place, but it doesn't seem well maintained now. They put anti-slip carpet over the floor without fixing it first, so the surface is uneven, including around the pool. I wouldn't bring kids here either, since lots of people smoke in the pool area.

The sulfur pool was spacious and pleasantly uncrowded, even on a weekend, but the water didn't look very clean. Two of our nephews got bumps on their skin from a little spider, and I sometimes felt something biting me too. The "Arung Jeram" was really cool, though.
