BATIQA Hotel Jababeka Cikarang

We’ll come back for suite 218, which had a comfortable bed, a relaxing lounge area and a balcony. We won’t eat at the restaurant again. It’s close to the mall and lots of restaurants, so there are other places to go. This was our second visit in five months. I deleted my first review so I could write this one, and I’ve dropped my rating from five stars to two because of the restaurant. On Thursday 5th February 2026, we went there on the night I proposed to my partner. He said yes, but dinner was poor and spoiled the evening. Many menu items were sold out. My partner’s choices were available, but mine weren’t, so I had to order twice. They brought both my partner’s starter and main while I was still waiting for my second choice. We wanted to eat together, so his meals were sent back. The kitchen then brought all the food at once again. By the time we finished our starters, the mains were cold. We sent them back. No one wants to eat cold food unless it’s meant to be served cold. My partner’s beef ribs were like rubber, and my Nasi Goreng Seafood was tasteless and underseasoned, with barely any seafood and even an extra prawn head on its own. There didn’t seem to be any quality control at the pass. I spoke with the manager on duty and the Executive Chef, who assured me this wasn’t normal. So on Saturday February 7th 2026 I gave the restaurant another try, this time alone. Same thing, with items sold out and poor excuses. Satay is a national staple in Indonesia, yet they were sold out of it again. I cancelled my order, drank my juice and left. Around the corner I found Tanagori Cafe & Resto, which I reviewed separately. It was casual but very good, with a live guitarist duo. A much safer choice. As a 5* Executive Chef with 35+ years at a world renowned hotel group, I know my job. It’s a shame Batiqua doesn’t. Lift your game Batiqa.
