The room was decent, though you can tell it's getting old. The staff were friendly and helpful: they found a safe place for my bicycle overnight and helped get my clothes washed. They even let me walk around the lobby dripping wet after the rain.

The room is quite large for a standard one, but the bedding needs replacing so it can look white and clean again. The city location is great, and the breakfast is good for a hotel at this star level. It would be nice if they served mendoan, the iconic dessert, every day for guests to enjoy. Sadly, there wasn't any today.

I booked one night through the Agoda app for just Rp 300 k, and it was still worth it for the low price, even though parts of the stay were disappointing. I had asked for a high floor, twin beds, and a non-smoking room, but we ended up on the 2nd floor, close to the railway station. The train horn kept sounding throughout the night 🤯 At breakfast I found mold on the white bread. It was the last piece, and it looked like there wouldn't be any more.
