Hotel Scarlet Bukit Pakar

Each room has a different style, which gives this boutique hotel a unique feel. It was fairly clean and pleasant, but the Wi-Fi was slow and the shower had no hot water. Check carefully which room is being sold when booking through an online travel agent, since they’re all different and you may not know what you’ll get.

We stayed here for one night before a Tahura race, and this was our second stay at the hotel. We came back late to check out at 13:05. I told the receptionist we were going to the room to get all our bags and asked them to hold our luggage to avoid a penalty. She said okay, but when we returned to check out, another receptionist charged us for being late. It was only IDR 100k for two rooms, but the lack of clear communication left us feeling robbed. The room was humid and everything was broken. Don’t expect much from the facilities. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for any occasion. We were very disappointed by that charge.

We got a nice view here, and I hope things improve. I stayed one night with four friends. We booked for five people through an online app, but the booking counted as four, so we had to pay for an extra bed and buffet. The buffet was limited too. My other friends didn’t get a main meal because I got breakfast first.

The hotel was dirty and poorly maintained, and the shower door was broken. I’m glad we only stayed one night. The price felt high for the poor service, and the fruit at breakfast was low quality. When I raised these issues with reception, we got no response or even an apology.
