Hotel Tjokro

It’s hard to give Villa Tjokro a single rating because some things are good and others just average. The accommodation is really affordable, the old-style garden and landscape are well kept, and there’s lots of space. Other shortcomings might be acceptable for the price, but don’t meet resort standards. Still, they call it a “Villa,” not a “Hotel/resort,” so it makes sense to think of it as a villa with shared facilities. Three stars, meant positively, to recognize how they describe themselves.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on demand, and there’s a big room right above it used for meetings, seminars, and parties. For large group events, this is a great option, with capacity for up to ±130 people and a large rooftop outdoor area that’s ideal for gathering.

The views from the villa are beautiful when it isn’t foggy. There’s a parking lot with an elevator up to the higher floors, a small pool, a gym, a park on an upper floor, and a kids’ playground. The room was clean and fairly large, fitting up to 4 people. The front office is separate from the villa, around +- 500 meters away, and the road between them is uphill. If you want an affordable villa or hotel in cisarua with nice views and a family-friendly setup, Villa Tjokro is a good option. It could work for a romantic trip too. The entrance to the front office is before KFC Puncak, marked by a big sign on the left side of the road.

The room wasn't very clean or comfortable, and the bed was quite lousy. Hot water was limited, so you may want to bring your own bedsheet and blanket. It's one of many cheap hotels in Puncak, and the price is very cheap. There's a swimming pool too.
