Caldera Adventure - River Resort Citarik

We went in August, when the water level was a little low, so the rafting took about two hours because we paddled slowly. It was a great adventure. They also have a kids' program, just so you know.

The river itself felt challenging for a beginner, and the employees were friendly, polite, and helpful. Caldera is a white water rafting place on Citatarik River in Kabupaten Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. You can drive straight there, but if you take a bus, you'll need to transfer to an angkot at Cikidang Angkot Terminal. There are enough bathrooms and toilets for participants, and gazebos are available to rent for larger groups. They have plenty of boats and rafting equipment, though there weren't enough for all our students at once, so we split into two sessions.

We came for rafting and didn't stay at the resort. They use their saung for services before and after the trip. The grounds are very large, with a lovely natural view, and the toilets were plentiful and clean. The food was good, too.

Our instructor, Kang Rama, was knowledgeable and made us amateurs feel at ease. He knew the names of the streams and how to handle them, and we all reached the finish safely. Each boat can fit three people. We were there for a business meeting and tried the 9-kilometer rafting trip along with the team-building package. The activity was fun and creative without being too tiring, so rafting afterward was still easy to do. There was plenty of delicious food. Thanks to Caldera and the team.
