The room stayed cool, and there was plenty of hot water. Staff were helpful when we had trouble with the AC. A couple of nice cafes were nearby, though there wasn't much else and the location wasn't great. The room itself was awful. The whole place smelled bad, especially one corner of the bed, and the sheets and towels were dirty. There were termites in the desk and bedside table. The window was in a separate area from the bed, so it felt dark, like a dungeon. The shower was broken: when fixed to the wall, it sprayed across to the other side, though holding the shower head worked.

The common areas were usually cleaned every day, and the location was quiet and convenient. I stayed nearly two months, but ended up leaving before my contract was over because getting sleep became impossible. The rooms were dark, moldy, and badly laid out, with the window in an attached room and the sink inside the room instead of the toilet. The blankets were stained, the pillows smelled terrible, almost rotten, and the thin walls let you hear everything next door. The worst part was a family of five placed in three rooms beside mine. Three of them were teenage girls, noisy every night until 3 a.m., moving between rooms and slamming doors. I asked them several times to be quiet, but they didn't care. I told the owner, who apparently moved some of them to the other side of the corridor. That barely helped, since they just had farther to go while making noise. After another complaint, I asked to change floors. They questioned whether I was too sensitive and said the same thing could happen elsewhere. I replied that I'd had no problems with other guests before the girls arrived.

It was cheap, but there are better places. The sheets were dirty, and we had no toilet paper. When we asked for some, a staff member gave a little laugh and said it was out. Does that mean the whole building had none? Sometimes the toilet wouldn't flush.

Good place, good rooms, good service. Everything was nice!
